TruMACC Semester Breakdown
What to Expect
Each Semester
Program advisors from both MACC and TSU work together to ensure you sequence courses correctly to achieve both your associate’s and bachelor’s degrees. Prior to course registration, students will meet together with their MACC and TSU advisors to enroll in courses. These advisors are available as your guide to TruMACC and achieving your academic goals!
While completing your Associate of Arts (AA) degree…
- Moberly Area Community College
- During this time, MACC serves as primary institution where you will be classified as a “degree-seeking student”;
- Take 9-12 credit hours of MACC coursework each semester toward the completion of your AA degree;
- If applicable, you can apply your Missouri A+ Scholarship to the cost of attendance; and
- You can utilize all campus resources.
- Truman State University
- During this time, TSU serves as your secondary institution where you will be classified as a “non-degree seeking student”;
- Take up to 6 credit hours of TSU coursework geared at your Major courses;
- You can utilize all campus resources, and you’re eligible to live on-campus;
- Truman scholarships not available; and
- If applicable, you can apply a portion of your FAFSA aid to the cost of attendance (consortium agreement required).
Once you have completed your Associate of Arts (AA) degree…
- Your coursework at MACC will be complete!
- Truman State University
- Truman is now your primary institution and you will be classified as a “degree-seeking student”;
- Take up 12-17 credit hours of TSU coursework each semester toward the completion of your bachelor’s degree;
- You can utilize all campus resources and you’re eligible to live on-campus;
- Truman’s transfer students scholarships are available to you; and
- If applicable, you can utilize FAFSA aid toward your cost of attendance.
Program Requirements
To meet continued eligibility requirements, TruMACC students must:
- Complete at least 24 credit hours within a 12 month period (1 calendar year)
- At least 18 credit hours taken at MACC
- 4-6 credit hours taken at Truman
- Maintain a minimum 2.75 cumulative combined GPA
